Buying Medium fruity taste, from the Montenero d'Orcia, in Coastal Tuscany.
A nice, well balanced and moderately fruity selection from this well regarded producer. The oil is made with a blend of the classic Tuscan varieties -- Frantoio (40%), Moraiolo (10%), Lecino (40%) and Olivastra (10%) -- giving it a broad flavor, rich in grassy scents, with hints of artichoke and tomato, without being too peppery. The taste and finish are complex with harmonious bitter and peppery features. The olives are hand-picked during the first three weeks of November.
